Accessibility Statement
ovos media gmbh
ovos endeavours to make its website and mobile application accessible in accordance with the Barrierefreiheitsgesetz (BaFG), BGBl. I Nr. 106/2023.
This declaration on accessibility applies to the website www.ovos.at.
Compliance status
The website are partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1” and the applicable European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) according to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, due to the non-compliances and the exemptions listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
a) Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- The mobile web version currently contains areas that, depending on the operating system and screen reader software used, are only partially accessible. We are continuously working to make mobile use as accessible as possible and to further improve accessibility for all users.
- Our videos do not currently include audio description and therefore do not fulfil WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (audio description recorded). However, we are endeavouring to make the content of our videos available in text form as an alternative.
- In certain areas of the website, contrast values may not fully meet the WCAG 2.1 AA requirements. This may result in text or controls being harder to perceive for users with visual impairments. We are continuously working to further optimize these contrasts and improve readability for everyone.
b) Disproportionate burden
- Accessible use via Microsoft Internet Explorer can no longer be guaranteed, as Microsoft has discontinued support for this browser.
- Some PDF documents provided on our website do not currently comply with the applicable accessibility requirements. In particular, older documents that were published before the relevant legal requirements came into force are not accessible. Due to the effort involved, there are currently no plans to make these documents fully accessible at a later date. If you require a specific document that is not accessible to you, we will be happy to provide it in an accessible form on request.
c) The content is not within the scope of the applicable legislation
- Content, functions or services provided by external providers – such as external links or offers from other third-party companies – are not subject to the sphere of influence of ovos media GmbH. In accordance with Section 2 (3) BaFG, this external content does not fall within the scope of the accessibility requirements. No guarantee can be given for compliance with the accessibility requirements by these third-party providers.
- Pursuant to Section 2(3)(4) BaFG, online maps and map services are excluded from the scope of the accessibility requirements, provided that the essential information for navigation purposes is provided in accessible, digital form.
